ORANGE & BLUE REVUE TICKETS ON-SALE NOW!

Tickets for Orange & Blue Revue, OE Choir's spring variety show are on sale now!  Tickets are $5 in advance and $6 at the door.  Children under 12 and choir students from PT/CT are FREE.  Purchase tickets online.  Note-tickets are good for one night.  If you would like to attend both Friday and Saturday performances you will need two tickets.

CHOIR AWARDS BANQUET

The Choir Banquet will take place on Saturday, May 10, before the final Orange & Blue Revue performance.  Dinner Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.  Class of 2014 Choir Seniors are FREE.  Students and parents may also choose to attend the awards portion of the banquet starting at approximately 5:30p.  Purchase your Choir Banquet Dinner Tickets online.

Results for the 2014-2015 Madrigals/Armonizzare auditions have been posted.  Thank you to all who auditioned.  As always, the competition was very tough.  If you have questions regarding audition results we will let 24 hours go by before we begin to have those discussions.

CHOIR CLINIC CANCELED
The choir clinic on the printed calendar for today has been canceled.  Initially we had hoped to schedule the clinic for a time during the school day but scheduling conflicts with other events will not allow it.

Singers who received a "1" rating will go on to sing at State Solo/Ensemble Festival held at Emporia State University on April 26.  The schedule should be posted sometime late this week or early next.

PRE-FESTIVAL CONCERT

In preparation for State Large Ensemble Festival we will have our Pre-Festival Concert on Tuesday, April 15.  Student call time is 6:15p.  The concert begins at 7:00p.  This is a required performance for all Olathe East singers.  The concert gives our large ensembles one last performance opportunity before the festival the following day and gives our parents, friends and family a chance to hear the music we will take to contest the next day.  Because we will be wearing our concert attire the next day the dress for this concert will be spirit wear (choir tshirts/OE shirts) and nice jeans.  This concert's running time will be 30-45 min. in length.

STATE LARGE ENSEMBLE

State Large Ensemble Festival is next Wednesday, April 16 at Blue Valley North High School.  This event takes place during the school day and includes all Olathe East Choirs.  Parents are welcome to attend the performance.  Students will be excused from class at 9:15a to come to the choir room and change into their concert attire.  We will take school-provided bus transportation to and from BVN.  Students will have an opportunity to each lunch in the school cafeteria when they return from the festival.

ORANGE & BLUE REVUE AUDITIONS

Auditions for the OE choir department's spring show: Orange & Blue Reuve will take place next Thursday, April 17 after-school from 3-5p.  

Audition Info:

• Students currently enrolled in a choral ensemble at Olathe East are welcome to audition  
• Students may audition up to 4 times (2 solo options and 2 small group/duet options)
• Music does not need to be memorized but must be learned
• Music must have some kind of accompaniment (No acappella singing or performance tracks)
• If you wish to have Ms. Willbanks play for you please communicate with her in advance.  If you have the opportunity to rehearse with her ahead of time and do not you are not setting yourself up to have the best audition possible
